Coastal Links: Darwin Coastal Companion Guide

In 2017 as a recipient of the inaugural Northern Territory Government, Creative in Residence for the Northern Territory Library I published an exhibition and book based on the Darwin coastline which focused my research on historical intersections with Darwin coastline, developed through, writing, painting and event-based outcomes. Titled Coastal Links: Darwin Coastal Companion Guide (Pirrie 2017), the project featured two key essays and two creative works: Macrotidal Quadrat Series and Rocksitting Place-mats. The residency reflected on Manuel De Landa’s philosophical thesis in which all structures that surround us and form our reality are products of specific historical processes (De Landa 1998).
